Mayors Against Illegal Guns

Since the topic of guns came up yesterday, I thought this commercial appropriate to post. MSNBC refused to run it, as it was too "controversial." Is it?

Not a lot of solid information there, but does that help, Crom?

Well, I don't know about controversial, but it's kind of a crock of shit.

The loophole the speak about basically refers to private sales. In other words, I personally can sell you a gun without having to do a backround check. Gunshows, for many years now, have not allowed persons to buy firearms without doing a backround check.

It is still perfectly legal to do a private sale, but unless your selling to a dealer, they generally are not allowed on the grounds themselves. Dealers, obviously, have Federal Firearms Licenses (FFL) and are thus allowed, by law, to buy and sell firearms.

Bloomberg is a anti-gun zealot, who in fact has flirted with breaking the law on occasion by having aids attempt to buy guns under false pretenses. Unfortunately for him, buying a gun under false pretenses is extremely illegal, and he has had to pay some fines.
