Valid Comparison?

Vivid comparison? I hope not. I not a big fan of Reagan. He's the one who invited the conservative evangelicals into politics and instituted supply-side economics. The combination has been devastating to the American middle class.

But there are definitely similarities. The charm and speaking abilities are the most obvious.

Well they didn't go so far as to comp[are their politics. It's just interesting that the majority of the straw men attacks that have been levelled at Obama could have been levelled at Reagan. Analogies fall apart under much scrutiny of course.

Reagan and Obama have a things in common in that they ran for president when the approval ratings of the sitting president were/are low.. they were/are inspirational hope filled and hope giving men.. and they seemed/seem to represent a different kind of politics.

Reagan seemed quick on his feet with reporters and in the debates. Have to wait until October to see how Obama does in this area.
